“Straighten your teeth discreetly without anybody noticing.” Invisalign has revolutionised the field of orthodontics by swapping metal braces and wires for clear plastic retainers that gently squeeze your teeth into position over time. We have used Invisalign and other Clear Aligner companies for years with amazing results, but Invisalign isn’t suitable for every case so book a free consultation to see if Invisalign is right for you. Teeth whitening has seen a surge in popularity over the last few years, especially on Social Media/Instagram. Teeth whitening is safe, but it is important to use TGA approved materials and gels. These are only available through your dentist as a licence is needed to purchase them. Phillips Zoom In chair whitening is the world market leader and is great value at $595 including take home custom moulded trays and gels. Click for more info
Dentistry for Kids can be an amazing experience, and at STAR dentistry we really care about creating that relationship from a early age (1 year old). This early start removes fear, creates solid foundations for both parents and children to be educated on preventive dentistry, tooth brushing techniques, good and bad food, and even exercises to encourage nose breathing (a key factor in healthy child growth). ORAL SURGERY/Wisdom teeth extraction
Impacted or infected wisdom teeth can be really painful, and often many dentists refer the patient away to hospital or another clinic leading to a long wait and further discomfort. At STAR dentistry we are fully surgically trained, and regularly perform surgical wisdom teeth extractions, meaning no referral or waiting periods. We offer inhalation or twilight sedation for patients who prefer to be sedated during the procedure. Click for more info.
Dentists are one of the best practitioners to carry out your anti wrinkle or dermal filler injections. As well as being qualified doctors with a vast knowledge of facial anatomy, dental clinics are held to the same cross infection standards as hospitals. We have comprehensive emergency medication so you can be safe in the knowledge that you are being treated in a sterile, safe environment. Click for more info.

A dental crown is needed to protect a heavily filled, root canal treated or broken tooth. Once a tooth has lost is natural shape, it is significantly weakened and is susceptible to fracture. If a tooth breaks significantly, unfortunately sometimes the only option is extract it. A dental crown acts exactly like a helmet to totally cover the tooth, restore its natural shape and prevent further breakage during our natural chewing processes. Click for more info.
Early Orthodontics (orthopaedics)
Growth and development of a childs face and jaws can be influenced by multiple factors such as mouth breathing, blocked airways, thumb sucking and other habits. Early intervention orthodontics can successfully correct skeletal discrepancies whilst a child is in their growth stage, preventing the need for teeth extractions and lessening the severity of orthodontic intervention when the adult teeth have erupted. Root canal Treatment
Contrary to popular belief, Root Canal Treatment itself is not painful and infact provides almost instant relief from dental pain. The pain that patients feel before needing a Root Canal Treatment is the pain of a tooth nerve dying, or a dental abscess forming. Once the tooth has died, the only option is to either extract, or undergo root canal treatment to keep the tooth. If you are in pain, please call the office on (02) 9518 9803. Click for more info.
Tooth decay is one of the most prevalent diseases in the western world. Once decay has extended into the tooth, it needs to be cleaned away and then the tooth rebuilt using a restorative material. An old style of filling material is metal amalgam, but at STAR dentistry, we only use white (composite or porcelain) fillings that perfectly match the colour of your tooth. Click for more info.
Dental Implants & Bone Grafting
Dental implants are the gold standard for single or multiple tooth replacement. If you are missing teeth, or have been putting up with an uncomfortable removable plate, dental implants may be the solution you are looking for, and we promise they are not as scary as they sound. We also work with third parties to help arrange payment plans so book a consultation today and let us help to rebuild your smile. Click for more info.
Cosmetic Dentistry (Porcelain Veneers)
A “Hollywood Smile” can light up the room, and porcelain veneers are the ultimate treatment to achieve that wow factor. Thin porcelain shells are custom designed and bonded to the natural tooth to allow changes in colour, shape, size and angles. At STAR dentistry we meticulously plan each case, using only the best materials and newest techniques to achieve a natural look that is second to none. Call to book a consultation today. Just like the Sydney Harbour Bridge, a dental bridge has two fixed points and a length of material in between. This is used to “bridge” the gap left by absent teeth, or after teeth have been lost or extracted. Dental bridges are an alternative to dental implants, and usually consist of two dental crowns on the teeth either side of the gap with another crown attached to them in between. Dental Bridges can be made from multiple materials. Click for more info.
Dentures have been used for many years as a removable option to replace missing teeth. Well made dentures can be a very successful solution for a patient, but will never truly replicate the chewing force of natural teeth. Dental implant retained dentures can offer a great intermediate affordable, semi permanent tooth replacement option. Call (02) 9518 9803 or use the online booking system to book an appointment. Gum Disease (Periodontal Disease)
Gum disease (periodontitis) is when the jaw bone and gum tissue become inflamed and begin to dissolve away in response to bacteria in plaque. Bleeding painful gums, bad breath, wobbly teeth, and a longer looking tooth are all symptoms of gum disease (periodontitis). If you are experiencing any of these symptoms it is important to book in ASAP to try to minimise the damage. Call (02) 9518 9803 today for a booking. Click for more info.
